McCullough Claire | Maternity + Newborn Photography

One of my favorite things about photographing such important times in people’s lives is that once I get connected with a family, I end up getting to know and photograph everyone! I met this adorable little mama at her brother’s Sewanee wedding last summer. Whitney, her husband and mom braved some of the chilly wet weather earlier this winter and did an outside belly session. I warned her that it would be muddy and she definitely came prepared! How cute are those red boots? Perfect.

The boots worked perfectly with my little Forever 21 find, too… Was so excited to finally use my girly red umbrella! :)

THEN…

a few months later…

a precious little red-head arrived! :)

I absolutely FELL IN LOVE with McCullough Claire’s ADORABLE shabby-chic baby room. I love how Whitney wasn’t scared to use several colors, vintage toys and artwork. I think they work so well together. Really their whole house was just adorable and right up my alley… every time I turned around and gasped with excitement over a crusty old chair or table, she said she found them at my two favorite antique/boutiques in downtown Clarksville: ARTifacts and Hodgepodge. View more of her room and all the newborn session in her slideshow here.

Can you believe this little smile?! Dying to know what she’s thinking.

And lastly, a gift from her uncle Shu. We’re going to use this in each stage of her first year to really show how much she’s grown. It’s a great idea to have something special like that to include in photos (otherwise you get my lovely yellow chair about 5 times in a year! haha!) I’m so excited to be there to capture some big stages in this little lassies life. :)
